Beginner's Guide To Kozmo
Kozmo are a relatively straightforward TCG exclusive LIGHT archetype that focus on abusing Kozmo Farmgirl's effect to search for any Kozmo card while applying pressure through heavy damage. Although Kozmo are new and are still waiting on future support, they already pack a serious punch. The lower level Kozmos banish themselves to Special Summon higher level Kozmos from your hand, allowing for quick one turn kills when used with Kozmo Farmgirl. If the higher level Kozmos are destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can banish them to Special Summon a lower level Kozmo monster from your deck - making it difficult for your opponent to clear your field. With their ability to abuse cards such as Honest, Juragedo, and Limiter Removal, Kozmos can easily end a duel during their first Battle Phase.
The Monsters:
Kozmo Farmgirl
Level 3 LIGHT Psychich
Effect Monster

(1) During either player's turn: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or higher "Kozmo" monster
from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kozmo" Farmgirl" once per turn.
(2) When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can pay 500 LP; add 1 "Kozmo" card from your
Deck to your hand.





While not as good as Farmgirl, Goodwitch is still a definite 3 of in standard Kozmo decks as it allows you to
Special Summon your higher level Kozmo monsters. Her effect to flip down a monster is also useful in attacking
over and destroy monsters, which can be useful in following up with an Emergency Teleport for Farmgirl direct
attack. Goodwitch's effect is also useful in shutting off problematic monster effects, like Vanity's Fiend or
Naturia Beast.
Kozmo Sliprider

(1) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/ Trap Card on the field; destroy it.
(2) If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your
Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck.
Its Mystical Space Typhoon effect is great against Trap heavy decks while its second ability Special Summons a
Farmgirl or Goodwitch from the Deck when it dies. A great card for the deck.
Kozmo Forerunner
Level 7 LIGHT Psychich
Effect Monster
ATK: 2800
DEF: 1400
(1) Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects.
(2) During your Standby Phase: Gain 1000 LP.
(3) If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your
Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck.
Forerunner is an amazing card that can be very difficult for your opponent to deal with. Its first effect ensures that
your opponent will have to attack over him or use a non targetting card like Raigeki to get rid of him -- either or
which will trigger his third effect to Special Summon any Kozmo monster from your deck besides himself. Backed
with traps or cards like Juragedo or Honest, your opponent will find it difficult to get rid of Forerunner.
Spell Cards:
Kozmotown
(1) Once per turn: You can target 1 of your banished "Kozmo" monsters; return it to the hand, and if you do, lose
LP equal to its original Level x 100.
(2) Once per turn: You can reveal any number of "Kozmo" monsters in your hand and shuffle them into the Deck,
then draw cards equal to the number of cards you shuffled into the Deck.
(3) If this card in the Field Zone is destroyed by a card effect: You can add 1 "Kozmo" card from your Deck to
your hand.
Kozmtown is nothing short of amazing. You'll always have a banished Kozmo card to add back to your hand,
and works well with Sacred Sword Of Seven Stars and Gold Sarcophagus. Its second effect is important as well
as it increases your odds of accessing Farmgirl and a way to inflict battle damage. Its third effect essentially
ensures that your first and second effect will go through uninterupted, as if they were to Mystical Space Typhoon
Kozmotown, you could add another Kozmotown to your hand. It's third effect also combos well with an in
Graveyard Galaxy Cyclone, which can be used to pop your Kozmotown and search any Kozmo card.
While Kozmotown is currently the only Kozmo Spell card, here are other Spell cards to consider:
Galaxy Cyclone: As mentioned, Galaxy Cyclone can not only get rid of potentially pesky Spell or Traps, but also can be used to destroy your Kozmotown and search for any Kozmo card.
Sacred Sword Of Seven Stars: Sacred Sword gives you better odds of accessing Farmgirl and a way to inflict battle damage. The banished Forerunner can easily be brought back with Kozmotown
Upstart Goblin: The deck needs to see Farmgirl as soon as possible and Upstart Goblin increases your chances of doing so.
Terraforming: Searches Kozmotown
Gold Sarcophagus: Allows you to add any Kozmo monster to your hand instantly when used in combination with Kozmotown.
Emergency Teleport: Allows you to Special Summon Farmgirl from your hand or Deck and can also be used for Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit.
The Seal Of Oricalos: This + Farmgirl + Juragedo = 8500 damage on an open field (as explained at the bottom).
Raigeki and Dark Hole: Clearing the field for a direct attack with Farmgirl can change the momentum of the game.
The Traps
Although there are no Kozmo Trap cards, Traps can make it very difficult for you opponent to get over your Forerunner. Cards such as Bottomless Trap Hole, Torrential Tribute, Solemn Warning, and Vanity's Emptiness are recommended.
Other Cards To Consider:
Juragedo: A staple at 3, Juragedo allows your Farmgirl to attack over monsters and gives you the opportunity to push for extra damage.
Honest: see Juragedo.
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit: An Emergency Teleport target that can help against the Qliphort matchup. It's also a tuner.
Cyber Dragon: A Special Summon that can attack over monsters to allow your Farmgirl to attack directly. As a Level 5, Cyber Dragon and Sliprider can Exceed into a Rank 5 like Volcasaurus for extra damage. Note that Cyber Dragon with Chimeratech Fortress Dragon in your Extra Deck outs Apoqliphort Towers as well as your opponent's Sliprider and Forerunner.
Ovedrive Teleporter: While it does have a great effect, you are required to tribute summon it, usually making it a dead draw during your first turn.
Summoner Monk: Mainly used to Special Summon Goodwitch to Special Sliprider or Forerunner if they are in your hand. It can also get Honest which you can bounce back to your hand as well as bring out any Level 4 to Exceed with.
Artifact cards: The Artifact cards are Level 5 and bring Rank 5 opportunities with them while also allowing you to destroy your own face-up Kozmotown.
The Extra Deck
There are no Kosmo Extra Deck monsters and Kosmo players don't often find themselves reaching into their Extra Deck. However, Kosmo do have the ability to Exceed into Rank 3, 4, 5, and 7 as well as Synchro into Level 6 and 7 if you play Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. If playing Ghost Ogre, Ancient Fairy is recommended in its ability to destroy your own Kozmotown.
Tips and Plays
7000 Damage with Kozmo Farmgirl and Juragedo. Summon Farmgirl and enter the Battle Phase. Attack directly with Farmgirl and search Kozmo Forerunner. Use Farmgirl's effect to Special Summon Forerunner. Use Juragedo's effect to Special Summon himself. Attack with Juragedo. Attack with Forerunner and then activate Juragedo's effect to increase Forerunner's attack by 1000.
Note that if you also had either Goodwitch or Forerunner already in your hand, you could alter this combo for a one turn kill. After attacking directly with Farmgirl, search for either Goodwitch or Forerunner (whichever one you didn't have). The combo is the same except this time use Farmgirl's effect to Special Summon Goodwitch first. After attacking with Goodwitch, use her effect to Special Summon Forerunner and continue the combo for 8800 total damage.
As Kozmo Farmgirl's first effect is a Quick Effect, you can chain her effect to cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device, Bottomless Trap Hole, Mirror Force, and the like to dodge the cards and Special Summon a higher level Kozmo. Note that if chaining Farmgirl to Mirror Force, the monster brought out will still be destroyed, assuming it was brought out in attack mode.
If you plan on making a play involving Emergency Teleport to Special Summon Kozmo Farmgirl, wait until the Battle Phase to activate it. Doing so will allow you to play around Effect Veiler, which can only activate during your Main Phase.
The clear MVP of the Kozmo deck, Farmgirl facilitates searching any Kozmo card and isusually involved in all of
your game finishing attacks. Her second ability is abused by utilizing attack modifying cards like Juragedo and
Honest to ensure that Farmgirl inflicts battle damage and gets a search. After searching for a Kozmo card, she
can banish herself to Special Summon a higher level Kozmo monster from your hand - usually the searched
Kozmo card. These two effects can be lethal, and a combination of Kozmo Farmgirl and Juragedo in hand
equates to 7000 damage (explained at the bottom).
Kozmo Goodwitch
