Beginner’s Guide To Qliphort
Qliphort are a very linear deck that focus on Pendulum Summoning high attack monsters turn after turn. The deck is heavily reliant on the following card and plays cards that maximize the chance of seeing it turn one:

Pendulum Effect:
(1) You can only Special Summon Qliphort monsters. This effect cannot be negated.
(2) Once per turn: You can pay 800 Life Points; Add 1 Qliphort card from your Deck to your hand, except
Qliphort Tool.
This card allows you to search your entire deck and is key to an early win. Summoner's Art, Upstart Goblin,
and Wavering Eyes increase your odds of seeing this card turn one.

Pendulum Effect
(1) You can only Special Summon Qliphort monsters. This effect cannot be negated.
(2) During the End Phase, if you Tribute Summoned this turn: You can draw a number of cards equal to the
number of "Qli" monsters you Tributed for Tribute Summons this turn.
Utilizing Monolith and Scout, Qliphort players are easily able to draw 2 cards during their End Phase by
Tribute Summoning their Pendulum monsters. As Qliphort monsters get effects when tributed as well as
when being tributed, it's easy to imagine the amount of card advantage Qliphorts are able to create. .

Cannot be Special Summoned. Must be Tribute Summoned by Tributing 3 "Qliphoth" monsters.
(1) This Normal Summoned monster is unaffected by Spell/Trap Effects, or the activated effect of a monster
whose original Level or Rank is lower than this card's Level.
(2) All Special Summoned monsters lose 500 ATK and DEF.
(3) Once per turn: You can have your opponent send 1 monster they control or have in their hand to the
Graveyard (their choice).
One of the most difficult to get rid of monsters in the current metagame. While its effect may be borderline
ridiculous, it's recommended that only dedicated Apoqliphort Towers builds run this card. While the card is
nothing less of amazing while on the field, it is often more difficult than one may assume to get him on the
field. Three monsters are required as tributes and two cards with the correct scales are required to be in the
Pendulum Zones (in order to Pendulum Summon the three monsters). Counting Apoqliphort Towers, six cards
are needed to Summon him. Dedicated builds utilizing Wavering Eyes, Upstart Goblin, Into The Void, and three
copies of Apoqliphort Towers are able to Summon Apoqliphort Towers relatively consistently, however standard
builds should avoid this card as it generally makes already winning hands better while making mediocre
hands unplayable.
All Qliphort Effect Monsters are unaffected by other monsters' effects if the other monsters' levels are less than
the Qliphort monster's current level. All Qliphort Effect Monsters level and ATK are reduced to Level 4 and 1800
ATK if they are Special Summoned or Normal Summoned without Tributing (they can all be normal summoned
without a tribute).
Qliphorts That Get Effects When Tribute Summoned
Qliphort Stealth

When Tribute Summoned, Stealth allows you to return one card your opponent controls to their hand. Its effect
cannot be responded to by your opponent, allowing for you to ensure a threat is cleared. It also increases all
your monsters' ATK by 300 while in the Pendulum Zone.

When Tribute Summoned, Disk Special Summons 2 Qliphorts from your Deck that are destroyed during your
End Phase. It's effect is great for pushing for lethal damage while also filling up your Extra Deck with Pendulum
Monsters when they are destroyed. It also increases all your monsters' ATK by 300 when in the Pendulum Zone.
Qliphort Cephalopod

When Tribute Summoned, Shell can attack twice and inflict Piercing Battle Damage upon Defense position
monsters. It also lowers all your opponent's monsters ATK by 300 while in the Pendulum Zone.

When Tribute Summoned, Cephalopod allows you to gain Life Points equal to the difference of the monsters
in your opponent's graveyard and yours X 300 if they have more than you do. Only dedicated Towers decks
use this card as it is a target for Sacred Sword Of Seven Stars.

Qliphort Helix

When Tributed, Carrier can return one monster on the field to the hand. It also increases the ATK of all Qliphort
monsters you control by 300.
Spell and Trap Cards:
As mentioned previously, the deck revolves around Scout and therefore this deck must utilize cards that allow you to see Scout as often as possible. Cards like Upstart Goblin, Summoner's Art, and Wavering Eyes are seen as staples. Saqlifice is another staple that makes your Qliphort monster immune from battle and also adds a Qliphort monster from your deck to your hand when sent to the Graveyard.
While the Qliphort variant focusing on summoning Apoqliphort Towers generally doesn't use any Trap cards besides Vanity's Emptiness or Skill Drain, standard Qliphort decks utilize a more Trap heavy lineup using cards such as Re-Qliate and Lose 1 Turn to leave your oppoenent with few options.
Extra Deck:
All Qliphorts while in the Pendulum Zone have the unfortunate effect of not allowing you to Special Summon any monster that is not a Qliphort monster. However, with Wavering Eyes, a Qliphort player has the ability to XYZ summon Rank 4 monsters. The Extra Deck will look like a standard Rank 4 Extra Deck, except for Naturia Beast and Naturia Barkion, two cards that I suggest adding. Using Emergency Teleport and Re-Cover either in the Main or Side Deck, you are able to force your opponent to give up using Spell Cards entirely, which may immediately win you the game.
When Tributed, Helix can destroy one Spell or Trap card on the field. It also decreases the ATK of all monsters
your opponent controls by 300 while in the Pendulum Zone.
