Igknight Decklists

Igknight Control

Igknights are an archetype that focus on loading up their Extra Deck with Pendulum Monsters in order to Pendulum Summon a field full of Igknight monsters. Most Igknight decks do this simply to push for a one turn kill, however my decklist takes this one step forward.

After playing Igknights for a while, I realized that while Igknights are able to OTK when comboing with a Royal Magical Library, the deck was still very fragile. In order for the standard Igknight deck to win, it needed to catch the opponent off guard for an early turn OTK. It it wasn't able to OTK by the first or second turn, it's likely that the opponent's deck would have the resources needed to finish you off.

That's when I realized that Spell Canceller worked amazingly and could be Special Summoned through this deck's Pendulum Mechanic. Spell Canceller is amazing against nearly all the top decks and can be brought out with ease. I then looked for other cards with similar devastating effects and decided upon Majesty's Fiend, Vanity's Fiend, Tyrant's Throes, and Tyrants Tirade. Any of of these cards being played on the field can force your opponent into simply ending their turn without any play. If you ever are able to play any two combinations of these cards, it's extremely likely you will win the game.

The deck is currently far under the radar and I strongly believe it has a strong chance of performing exeptionally well at YCS Toronto, if people are even aware of this deck. Not only does this deck have the ability to OTK in an instant, it also has the power to keep your opponent from playing Yugioh.

Library Igknights

Library Igknights

Library Igknights are a more common way of playing Igknights that abuses Royal Magical Library's effect to draw 3 or more cards with its effect with ease. Placing a Pendulum monster in the Pendulum Zone counts as a Spell activation, and in combination with each Igknight Pendulum monster's ability to search another Igknight, it's easy to see how Royal Magical Library's counters add up. As such, cards like Terraforming, Chicken Race, and Ignition Phoenix have been included to help get more counters on Library. Summoner Monk is included primarily to increase your odds of having Library on the field by turn one.

When not interrupted by your opponents cards such as Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Effect Veiler, Fiendish Chain, or Breakthrough Skill, this deck has a much higher chance of performing a one turn kill than the above Igknight Control deck. However, it should be noted that this deck is a glass cannon that crumbles after any opponent interaction.

Igknight Heroes

Igknight Heroes are definitely the least competitive version of Igknights displayed here, but are very fun to play. The deck plays very similarly to Library Igknights, with the added bonus of playing Elemental Hero Blazeman and Elemental Hero Shadow Mist - both of which are searchable with Reinforcement Of The Army. By playing Blazeman, you have access to Fusion Summoning First Of The Dragons by using Polymerization and any two Igknight cards.

First Of The Dragons is an interesting card that is extremely difficult to get rid of without Spell or Trap Cards. While some Trap heavy decks like Burning Abyss can get rid of it, other decks like Nekroz have nearly no way of getting it off your field.

The deck can also summon Dark Law, a card that hurts all top decks, with ease through Pendulum Summoning Shadow Mist from your hand.
