There's a lot of cards in Yugioh that go from being worthless in one format, to all of a sudden becoming highly valued the next. Cards like Maxx C, Denko Sekka, and Effect Veiler all have this in common. When they're not used, they see their price decline by over 50% in value. Then when they're in demand, they see their price spike to new levels. Of course, if you can take advantage of this knowledge, you can make some serious cash.
Shared Ride is one of those cards. A $1 Secret before the Nekroz format, it suddenly saw its price spike to upwards of $12 dollars as it became a 3 of staple in the Side, and arguably a staple in the Main. Of course, it's Maxx C-like effect can be devastating against the right deck. Currently, there aren't any decks out that rely so heavily on the search like Nekroz, but you can bet that sometime in the future, there will be a Tier 1 deck that searches just as much as Nekroz did.
When that time comes, you can bet that Shared Ride won't stay at the $1 it is today (click here to get it today). Of course, I can't say for certain when that time will come. It could be within a year, or it could be within several years. But one thing is certain, if you hold onto Shared Ride, it can only appreciate in value over time.
